"Body of Work" - Volume One

The artists' first official book "Body of Work Volume 1", is published by Koos Groenewald and GNOSIENNE with the introduction by Jess Sutherland. 

It comes in two screenprinted hardcover colour options, a Havana (lighter) or Tobacco (darker).

This book logs the studio ephemera of artist Koos Groenewald, widely known as Koooooos. 

Composed of sketches, notes, imagery, motivations, reminders and maquettes spanning the four-year period from 2022 to 2026 leading up to the occasion of the artists first solo presentation Performing Humanism (101) at the RMB Latitudes Art Fair 2026.

Gathered together, these short missives to and from the self form a study of the private and interpersonal incident, consolidating the artist's observational practice of recognising the very particular - and universal - absurdity of having, and being, a body.
